Warranty & Installation Policy
Effective date: 2 August 2026
1. Warranty provider
This voluntary warranty is provided by XLER PTY LTD trading as Yara Auto Parts (ABN 84 665 134 958), U6/11 Julian Close, Banksmeadow NSW 2019, Australia. Email: info@yaracarparts.com. Phone: +61 449 670 805.
This policy applies to eligible products supplied by Yara Auto Parts and installation services performed directly by Yara Auto Parts.
2. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
- to cancel your service contract with us; and
- to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
The benefits under this policy are additional to, and do not replace, any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Consumer guarantees may continue beyond the voluntary warranty periods below.
3. Voluntary warranty periods
Unless a different period is clearly stated on the product page or invoice:
- General Yara Auto Parts branded products: 12 months against eligible manufacturing defects from purchase.
- Roller shutter main body, slats, motor and primary controller: 12 months.
- Roller shutter remote controls, LED lighting, drainage components and separately supplied accessories: 12 months.
- Batteries and consumables: covered only where defective at supply, subject to the ACL.
- Installation workmanship performed by Yara Auto Parts: 30 days from installation.
For a roller shutter installed by Yara Auto Parts, the product warranty starts on the installation date. For supply-only products, it starts on the purchase or delivery date, as applicable.
4. Yara Auto Parts workmanship warranty
The 30-day workmanship warranty covers faults directly caused by installation work performed by Yara Auto Parts, including eligible issues involving mounting, fastening, initial alignment, electrical connections, drainage tubes, insecure components, or incorrect positioning.
It does not cover a product fault, vehicle fault, accidental damage, misuse, lack of maintenance, or work performed or altered by another installer. The 30-day period does not limit rights that may apply under the ACL.
5. Reporting installation concerns
Please inspect the vehicle and installed product at collection. Visible concerns such as scratches, missing parts, cosmetic damage, incorrect positioning or obvious installation issues should be reported within 7 days after collection. Other workmanship concerns should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and within the 30-day workmanship warranty period.
A delay may affect our ability to determine when or how an issue occurred, but does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
6. What the product warranty covers
Subject to inspection, the voluntary product warranty covers defects in materials or manufacturing arising during normal and reasonable use. Depending on the circumstances and the ACL, an approved remedy may include inspection, adjustment, repair, replacement of an affected component, replacement of the product, refund, or another remedy required by law.
7. Roller shutter water resistance
Roller shutters are designed to be weather-resistant, not completely waterproof, watertight or dustproof. Minor water or dust entry may occur, particularly during heavy or wind-driven rain, storms, high-pressure washing, automatic car washes, off-road driving, deep-water use, steep-angle parking, or where drains or seals are blocked, disconnected, damaged or poorly maintained.
Minor entry in these circumstances is not automatically a manufacturing defect. Protect water-sensitive, valuable and electrical items stored in the vehicle tub.
8. Customer maintenance responsibilities
Keep tracks and moving parts reasonably clean; remove dirt, sand, leaves and debris; regularly inspect and clear drainage tubes; avoid directing high-pressure water at tracks, seals, electronics or drains; do not force a jammed shutter; stop use if unusual noise, resistance, misalignment or electrical malfunction occurs; and follow supplied operating and maintenance instructions.
9. Voluntary warranty exclusions
To the extent permitted by law, this voluntary warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by:
- incorrect customer or third-party installation, incompatible vehicles, forced fitting, or failure to follow instructions;
- unauthorised drilling, cutting, rewiring, alteration, repair, removal, relocation or reinstallation;
- vehicle modifications, aftermarket accessories, pre-existing damage, corrosion, misalignment or electrical faults;
- accident, collision, theft, vandalism, fire, flood, storm, misuse, abuse or negligence;
- overloading, sitting, standing or climbing on the product, concentrated or unsupported loads, or forcing an obstruction;
- blocked or disconnected drains, lack of cleaning or maintenance, pressure washing, chemical or corrosive exposure;
- normal wear and tear, fading, ordinary cosmetic deterioration, or consumable batteries; or
- commercial misuse or use outside the product's intended purpose.
Nothing in this section excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Third-party installation and unauthorised repairs
Professional installation is strongly recommended. For third-party installation claims, we may request the installer's invoice, installation photographs, details of drilling, cutting, wiring or modifications, and confirmation that instructions were followed.
Contact us before arranging repairs, removal or replacement. Do not incur third-party labour, diagnostic, travel, removal or reinstallation costs on our behalf without prior written approval, except where immediate action is reasonably required for safety or where the ACL requires otherwise. Retain removed or damaged components until the claim is finalised.
11. Making a claim
Email info@yaracarparts.com with your name and contact details, order or invoice number, vehicle make/model/year/variant, product name, installation date and installer, serial number (if applicable), clear photos and videos, a detailed description of the issue, nearby vehicle modifications, and relevant installation invoices.
We may require the product or vehicle at our Banksmeadow premises for inspection. Do not dispose of the product or affected components before receiving written instructions.
12. Inspection, expenses and remedies
If inspection confirms an eligible defect or Yara Auto Parts workmanship fault, we will provide an appropriate remedy under this policy and the ACL. If the issue results from an excluded cause, a reasonable inspection or diagnostic charge may apply; any proposed charge will be disclosed before chargeable work begins.
For approved claims on products installed by Yara Auto Parts, we will handle reasonable removal and reinstallation required for the approved remedy. For customer or third-party installations, those costs require prior written approval unless the ACL requires otherwise. Contact us before incurring claim expenses and provide receipts if we approve reimbursement.
13. Replacement products and components
A replacement does not automatically restart the original voluntary warranty. It remains covered for the balance of the original period or any additional period required by law.
14. Safety
Stop using a product if continued operation may create a risk of injury, vehicle damage or further product damage. Electrical smells, overheating, smoke, repeated fuse failure, uncontrolled movement, severe misalignment or unusual mechanical resistance must be reported immediately.
